Nice! What part of the country are you in? If it's the Midwest we have a great Facebook group. If not, wherever you are probably has something that's ok too. ;)

Me too! Well, the NW suburbs. Are you on the Upper Midwest FRS/BRZ Owners Club FB group? Pretty much everyone in the group is from the Chicagoland area, and it's a pretty great group of people. We also have an Instagram account for the group, that me and another guy run, called Midwest86. Hope to see you out there soon!

I've seen 3 so far, two on my local dealer's lot, and one out in the wild. For being limited to 1,000 units (500 WR Blue, 500 Crystal White), they seem to be popular. However, I noticed the same thing about the 2013 WRX Special Editions.

Kinja'd!!!

They seem like they are quite nice. I like the STi Aero Package's aggressive looks, especially the front lip. Oddly, one of the Series.Blue I saw on my dealer's lot was missing the Aero Package, and had an ~$800 credit on the sticker. I also like some of the smaller goodies that come from the Japanese market, such as the frameless rear-view mirror.

Sweet! Great picture! I drove behind a Series Blue this morning on the way to work. I'm on the fence with the STi lip kit, but man do I want blue stitching in my brz.

That is SICK. You're really lucky, and that's an amazing photo, especially for a cell phone.

I was on the fence about the entire exterior kit, to the point where initially I was considering selling those parts off, but it's grown on me significantly since then :P

Plus, I met up with a regular BRZ owner the other day and realized how much lower the car looks with them, hehehe.

Oh I totally hear that, it does a ton visually. I like the kit, just more on the fence about spending the money to equip my brz. Lol.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - I did increase the saturation and sharpness a bit, but that's it. Just dragging two sliders.

If my Saab didn't have an electrochromic mirror, I'd order one of the BRZ frameless ones in a heartbeat and replace mine with it. They're AMAZING.

Great picture. Quick simple suggestion to make your pics even better. It's called the rule of thirds. Google will probably provide a much more articulate explanation of the rule than I can but in general, think of taking a picture of a sunset at the beach. The horizon in this case separates the sky from the ocean. That horizon line should cut the picture into thirds. Doesn't matter which way you do it (sky 2/3's - ocean 1/3 or the opposite).

Sweet car, I'm certainly jealous.

Yeah, I know about the rule of thirds, but I just always COMPLETELY forget about it when I start taking pictures, lol. Hey, at least ONE of my pictures didn't end up perfectly centered! Haha. Thanks for the advice though. Gotta keep remembering that.

Gotta tell you, that second picture is better than the first. (All relative of course, both are great pics). Composition in the second one is fantastic. Is that straight off your phone or did you adjust the color with some software? Ever play around with any editing software? I tell people there's no shame in editing pictures. For instance, this is a great shot in and of itself. But adding a little blur to the background creates some great depth of field. Filters are fun but subtle changes to the color can make a big impact on the overall presentation. There's a course at my local civic center for Cell Phone Photographers. The teacher is a local professional. She gets people to go out and improve their skills with whatever phone they have. Then lets them import the photos into something like Photoshop Elements. All everyone is really doing is playing around and seeing what results. It's great and proves that you can take amazing photos with just about anything. And while taking a course is great, literally just playing around with some software and picking random things and applying them to a photo works pretty good as well.

Anyway, sorry for rambling on. Nice photo, and awesome car.

Both of these photos have had the color saturation pumped up a bit, and are slightly sharpened, in order to bring the photos closer to what the scenes looked like in real-life. I'm definitely plenty familiar with editing software (I use GIMP)! I always have fun doing soft-focus backgrounds and all sorts of other effects and stuff. In fact, it's BECAUSE I don't have a nice camera that I've become very familiar with all the means of improving an image after it was taken :P

As an example, here's another photo I took, and then the finished product after some very minor tweaking (removed trees poking over the top of the rear, cleaned up the drain tubes under the bus, removed the light pole (I was in a hurry, so that's a poor job) and messed with the color). Yet another example of my not following the rule of thirds, but this time I wanted everything centered, lol.
